CARA HOWARD
Cara has just undertaken a cruise travelling around the world as a singer dancer and is
thrilled to keep in touch with the School and returns whenever she is in the
country to pass on skills and experiences as well as update her own skills.
Megan Louch- West End Star from Rotherham
Born and raised in South Yorkshire, Megan attended Wickersley School and trained at the Gillian Banks Theatre School in Rotherham. She then went on to study at Laine Theatre Arts, London where she was awarded a full 3 year scholarship.
Whilst in Rotherham Megan became a young ambassador for her achievements in her academic and her vocational studies. She received 7 IDTA awards as well as performing on cruise ships and in Disney with the school. As well as the annual shows at the Civic Theatre plus all the professional cabarets and charitable events the theatre School performs for.
Megan has appeared in TV commercials for the Trafford Centre and Marks and Spencers as well as performing at this year’s FA Cup final. She performed in professional pantomimes whilst at college with Qdos and before graduation appeared in a new musical called ‘Loserville’ at the West Yorkshire Playhouse.
It’s always been Megan’s dream to perform in the West End ,following a premier performance run at the West Yorkshire Playhouse the show is to transfer to the west end and she is extremely excited to announce that she’ll be making her West End debut with the new musical Loserville by James Bourne and Elliot Davies.
She starts a westend contract in Annie for the summer of 2017
Megan returns to the Gillian Banks Theatre School on a regular basis to pass on her knowledge and experience to the current students and keep up to date with the happenings within the School and bring some of the professionalism and real life work experience she was trained for back to where she was originally trained from being a little girl.
Gillian said ‘ we are so proud of Megan fulfilling her life’s dream and actually making onto the West End , we will follow her and support her closely to see her develop her career even further following this debut appearance , we are sure she will move to other shows once she is established in the West End circuits.

DAVE KNIGHT
Dave was working in Sharm el Sheik and will return after the winter period to entertain holiday makers around the world.He is now employed by Garforth Entertainment , a professional entertainmnet agency in Manchester.
JENNI SHANNON
Jenni, who has been dancing with the school since the age of two, and began singing at the age of 16 will be performing production shows in Cyprus. Learning a total of 83 numbers incorporated in to 6 different shows including a Moulin Rouge Show, Blues Brothers Show, A Cabaret inspired West End Show. She will be part of the largest entertainment team (Premier Entertainment) on the Island providing spectacular entertainment to the 4 and 5 star hotels.
RICHARD MORGAN
Lead singer of the boy band Storm, currently touring the UK. Richard made the finals of the 2007 TV show Grease is the Word.
JOSEPH WAWRZYNIAK
Currently finishing final year of performance:theatre degree applying to drama schools for second degree in musical theatre. Principal baritone of De Costa academy of Singing (Michael De Costa is the ex-principal baritone of the english national opera) Performing in many Societies in York, We Will Rock You, Les Miserable's School Edition, Pirates of Penzance. Director of University Musical Production Society currently directing Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dream Coat. Now studying Musical Theatre Course at Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts (London),
NICOLA HANCOCK
Nicola Hancock has gained employment in Disneyland , Paris as a parade dancer and character in the Disney Parades. She trained in dance through the school from an early age.
Gary Jackman

This is a picture of Gary Jackman. Gary started dancing at the age of 8, with Gillian Banks Theatre School, going on to train at the Northern Ballet School. He has played Uncle Drosselmier in Manchester City Ballet's Nutcracker Suite, worked on Carnival and Celebrity Cruise Lines, Casinos in Portugal and Slovenia as Dance Captain, and Roman Polanski's Dance of the Vampires Musical, by Jim Steinman and Michael Kunze, as solo dancer. He was also on the Heavenly Bodies - Taiwan Tour, the French tour of Paris Can Can, and worked with Gloria Gaynor and the Weather Girls. He is also a singer, and choreographer in all aspects of dance.
Gary is now running 'Garyography ' in London and working in a professional capacity has a professional choreographer.
